Newton: Do you want to hear about how I saved the day?

It all started when there was a big scream. When humans scream, it means something either scary or something really interesting, so I had to check it out.

This was an interesting scream. Look what I found. A snake in the house.
Score!

When I looked closely, I could see a ring around its neck. Totally harmless. But try telling that to a screaming human.

So I did the only thing I could. I attacked and rescued my human from the fierce snake.

I was the hero! And what did my human do with the snake?
She flushed it down the toilet!

What kind of thanks is that?
No respect at all for my skills. She could at least have let me play with it all night first.

That snake would have had my human screaming… with delight! She loves snakes! And she would not have let you play with it either, Newton. She would have picked it up, petted it, and gently placed it outside.
Poor snake… ๐ I thought it was an earth worm at first sight, until I saw the head…was it poisonous? *shivers* Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend ๐ <3
Mom says there would have been lots of screaming here too….
That was one ginormous snake.. Yuge even.. You are one brave kitty
Well done, Newton! Oz would’ve been right in there with you, deading the snake!
Newton is my hero! Does he do spiders? Can he come live with me?
OMC I would have died!! Well done YOU!!
Great job Newton! Hey, that thing might swim back up stream!
O.M.C! Newton! You are the bravest kitty we know! There you are, touching that snakey thing. Whew! It’s brave cats like you that make us breath a little easier.
Newton do you make house calls?
Hugs madi your bfff
You are very brave, Newton! My mum would have screamed too. In the days when we were able to roam our fields unaccompanied, and before the purrison fence was built around the garden I found a nest of baby vipers. I kept bringing them back to my mum. The first time she saw it on the ground and thought it was a coiled spring and bent down to pick it up and it moved! You probably could have heard her scream across the pond.
Yikes…one more reason I’m glad I live up north!!!
What a waste of a perfectly good snake, Newton.
OMC, Newton, how brave! Our mom would have had a complete bird!
You are a hero Newton! I hope you were given a parade or at least extra treats even though I know youโre not allowed treats cos of your something or another.
Woaw ! you are very BRAVE !
Kudos to you. my mom already screams before she saw the size… MOL
Have a lovely weekend
=^x^=
Newton, the snakie would have been a great toy, but we understand how humans are..good thing we as cats, don’t slither. ๐
You’re so brave, Newton ! That snake was obviously huge ! Claire would have saved him instead of throwing him in the toilets, and … Wait ! What if he swims back ? Did your mom think of it ? Purrs
That looks like a really tiny snake, but ick.
Oh no, not flushed… That snake either eats slugs or mice. You should LIKE snakes that eat those things! Please, next time just drop a towel on it, grab it, and toss it outside. The towel is washable…
TBT was surprised to see a black snake curled up on a shelf in the toolshed. He DID step back to look at it carefully, but then left it be. He had mice chew up the wires on the mower once and had to replace them. Snakey = no chewed wires this winter.
Humans are very confusing.
The Florida Furkids
I almost screamed just looking at the pictures!
Newton, you were very brave. My mom wouldn’t have let me near the snake because she wouldn’t want me to get a little snakebite or want me to hurt the snake. She not fond of snakes, but she would have trapped it in a box and taken it outside.
Paw to snake ratio makes this look more like a worm. You know that baby snake is going to grow up in the sewers and climb back up into the toilet and bite your mom on the butt. Now she’ll be too afraid to use the bathroom ever again. MOL! MOL! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
