New Water

Cupcake: There’s new water in the house! Mr. Newton, come see this!

black and white tuxedo cat looks into fountain

Newton: What are you doing?

Cupcake: I think I can suck on this water.

Cupcake: *snort* It went in my nose!

Newton: Yuck. You can have this thing to yourself, kid.

Cupcake: Fine, he’ll miss out on the real fun.

Cupcake: This is the really fun part!

Cupcake, it’s so like a cat to use a device for something it wasn’t made for! Good for you, cutie!

You are cute fishing in the fountain, Cupcake. I had to turn ours off at night because Eric would scrape all of the water out of it all across the kitchen floor. I was afraid he would make the motor burn out.

I would have laughed if Cupcake had pulled out a fish. It looks like a great fountain. I assume there is a filter to collect paw hairs?

My human is kind of relieved that none of us play in our fountain.

It’s like trying to bury something, right Cupcake? Our sister Tessa does the same thing, with our fountain or just the plain water bowl. We can’t figure her out either.

We had a fountain once. I (Iza) kept knocking it over though. So we don’t. Dad says he might set it up again to see if I treat it better.

Looks like a whole heap of fun! Until then, there’s always the bathroom and kitchen sink!
