Natl. Feral Cat Day

20111015-212106.jpg

From oldest to youngest, each of these lived in the wild.

Some have more colorful or well-known (to us) histories, but each got a second chance without having to use a second life.

20111015-212449.jpg

All live in a home and get regular meals, although they would happily lie and tell a stranger they were starving to get fed a little extra!

They deserve a life and love just as much as the next creature.

Yes, very true, they do deserve a life of love! And we’re glad they have it.

Our Nicki was found feral when he was quite young, between 8 and 10 weeks, so he was lucky. And Derry and his siblings were found, without a mom, when they were 4 to 5 weeks. 🙂

It is such a pity that some cats go through life never knowing where their next meal will come from. Life is so hard for all feral cats.

You are so right! Our Zoey was caught when she was about 9 months old after spending the first 6 months outside on her own. Where she came from, we’ll never know. Happy National Feral Cat Day!!

We are all formerly feral here at The Lounge. Humans need to get us spayed and neutered!
