This version is much safer than the traditional monorail cat because, if you look closely, you will notice it has front arm like extensions that can help it from tipping or de-railing. The downfall of Mono-Pierre is one attack by his crazy tail could mean a huge tail chase and that may well spell disaster for the entire train.
I can see there are advantages and disadvantages to this one…
