Newton: I’ve got on my cat beret to tell you about the CATbaret! It’s a celebrity-filled song and dance event on August 1 in Los Angeles. The best part about it, even better than the amazing talent and entertainment, is that 100% of ticket sales go to help homeless cats of LA.
Homeless cats all over need help, and in Los Angeleles, the Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats helps provide Trap-Neuter-Return services for feral cats as well as socializing feral kittens to place in their forever homes. They’re funded entirely by donations and volunteer support, so events like the CATbaret are important to helping real cats find forever homes.
The CATbaret is going to be a star-studded event, with stars set to perform including: Fred Willard (Modern Family), Wendi Clendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), Elaine Hendrix (Sex & Drugs & Rock and Roll), Mo Collins (Parks and Rec), Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings), Elisabeth Harnois (CSI), Autumn Resser (The OC), Keith David (Cloud Atlas), Jon Huertas (Castle), and the So You Think You Can Dance Dancers.
Two Exciting CATbaret Giveaways
Tickets to Attend the CATbaret
We and several other blogs are participating in a giveaway of one pair of available tickets to the show and the VIP after party, valued at $300, to be picked up at will call the night of the event in Los Angeles. (Winner receives event and after-party tickets only; travel and lodging is not included.) There will be one winner drawn from entries from all participating blogs. A CATbaret Gift Bag
This gift bag of items from CATbaret event sponsors are autographed by some of the celebrities who attend the event. The items themselves have a retail value of $50, but the sentimental value of the autographs is priceless! This drawing is open through midnight EST July 27th to recipients with US addresses only.
What if I Just Want To Attend the CATBaret?
Wouldn’t anyone want to attend an evening of feline-themed fun while supporting homeless cats? Tickets are available for purchase to attend the August 1 event in Los Angeles from Kitty Bungalow.

That looks like so much fun and TNR is such a good cause- wish I lived nearby.
nice that there is an option for people to win who can’t attend
That sounds like a great event.
My human is bummed because this year, she can’t attend! She did the past couple of years. This time, we have a cat show that weekend.
The mom wishes she lived in the LA area and could go. Guess we’ll settle on winning some swag…if we’re lucky.
That sure sounds like a fun and classy event!
If we lived near LA, we’d love to go, but since it’s across the country, we’ll just enter for the swag bag.
I never heard of any of the “celebrities” so the contents of the gift bag means more. MOL. I wish travel was included so I could see and stay with my sweet Buzzy.
Oh, how we wish we lived closer! That would be so much fun!
Cody really wants the beret in the photo 😉
Newton, I love the beret on you 🙂 I think this event sounds wonderful, but I am not entering because I can’t get to L.A. I wouldn’t leave my kitties that long.
Sounds wonderful! It’s always great when raising funding and awareness for cats can be done with such fun and creativity!
OMG! Yous looks marvelous in that Beret!!!
What a fabulishious event for such a great cause.
Kisses
Nellie
Oh, how I wish I could attend the event, but – alas. I’m near Chicago. So, I guess I have to be content with just entering for the swag.

Thanks for the giveaway! I hope I can attend the event and help out Kitty Bungalow.
We admire the idea, but we are real home-kittehs!
The event sounds like so much fun! We wish we lived close enough to go. We hope it is a huge success.
My cat would never wear a beret.
He’d eat it probably, but not wear it.
Thanks!
This is such a pawsome event! I wish I had the budget to travel and go to it. Hopefully, they will raise lots of money to help the kitties!
Sounds like a fun time but I am too far away to attend. I would love the swag though!
