Ice, Ice Baby

Cupcake: What is that in my water?

Cupcake: The humans said it’s hot weather, so they were going to put something special in my water. Now something is swimming around in there!

Cupcake: Every time I put in my paw, it gets wet, so I can’t seem to catch the little things in the water.

Cupcake: And they’re shrinking fast. Are they drowning? I can’t save them!

Cupcake: They’re gone!

In this hot weather, we periodically add some ice to the cat fountain to cool the water off. Cupcake is fascinated by it, and she comes running as soon as she hears the sound of the ice splash into the water. She still hasn’t figured out why it vanishes so quickly.

Bear used to drop his micey in his water bowl and then try to bat them out. About half the time, he couldn’t manage to do anything but make a huge mess. Cupcake, you are adorable. We bet you’ll catch one of those elusive blocks eventually!

Cupcake, you are one cute kitty. Those ice cubes are really hard to catch. Glad you had a good time with those silly ice cubes even though they disappeared. You all have a great day.

You are so cute, Cupcake, but you’re supposed to drink that water, not play in it.

Bubbles come and bubbles go. And, BTW, TBT had to stop the ever-watering bowl. IZA saw the bubbles in it and attacked them until she knocked the whole thing over and water was EVERYWHERE!

That’s adorable. I like the dry moat around the water fountain to help keep the floors dry.
