Easy like Sunday

Newton: Yesterday was an exhausting day of snoopervising the wrapping of holiday gifts and the packing of a Secret Paws box.

Newton Prepares to Snoopervise

It’s important to inspect everything that is going to touch the gifts very carefully. If you can’t inspect it all visually, a sniff test will let you know if you need to explore further and possibly increase your diligence with a taste test.

Newton Snoopervising

Can you believe that I was finally asked to supervise from way over here? This is really an unacceptable distance for the sniff and taste testing.

Anyhow, after all of that hard work, I plan to take it easy today before the hard work of lounging around and waving my paw at the peeps while they go to the office begins again.

Hey! Your Human’s just like mine!! When we were packing our Secret Paws present, she actually PICKED ME UP and put me down on the floor and she said I had to stay off the table till she was finished!! Honestly! What an outrage!

Oh, Newton… I wish you were here to help with our Christmas! I think you ginger cats are very good at that!

    Get some well earned rest.

At least you were still allowed to watch. When Mommy wraps presents, she throws us OUT of the room and closes the door. The nerve!

We don’t get a look in while the wrapping is done either – we’d only just make sure the gifts were whappable so they wouldn’t injure the recipient.

Newton, that wasn’t fair making you snoopervise from way over there! Our mom hasn’t even started working on our Secret Paws package. We better get her moving on it!

At least you were allowed to stay. I get shut out because I like to lay on the wrapping paper and attack the sellotape.

The Human uses the excuse that it’s for my own good and that one time Clarkie at the ribbon and she had to pull it out of his mouth and throat. But I think it’s just an excuse to be mean, that’s what I think.
