Newton: You wouldn’t believe how much my peace was disturbed last night, kitties.
It looked like this right outside my windows. We’re used to fireworks at a distance, but that’s a bit much. Those fireworks were peeping in our windows! How rude! How would those fireworks like it if we all stared at them?
I have been told that there will not be any fireworks peeping on our windows again until Labor Day weekend. I don’t know when that is, because cats don’t labor. But it had better not be any time soon.

Newton, that is just unacceptable for sure…(uh, they do look pretty though) and they must have been scary, hope your Caturday makes up for it. (My Human thinks you look gorgeous in theese pics.)
Fireworks are just not acceptable if they light the sky and make a noise. Double treats may help you feel calmer though Newton.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Those fireworks were way too close! The ones around here were mostly far off, because of the fire hazard, but there was still a lot of noise. But we kitties didn’t even care – can you believe that? Boodie, in fact, slept through most of it.
Poor Newton! We could see the fireworks from our window, too. Lita went UTB!
We hope the rest of your day was enjoyable 🙂
Glad you made it through the fireworks. Ours were that close too. Pretty scary but we lived through it. Have a great day.
Definitely time to complain. Imagine disturbing your loveliness.
You are so lucky Newton, we’ve got at least 2 more nights of the boomy monsters!
We got really nervous when you said more fireworks were coming, but our mom says we don’t have them on Labor Day. That firework was quite beautiful with its reflection on the water but not as lovely as you Newton. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
we can tell by the look on your face it must have been bad, Newton. we think it might not be so bad if those fireworks could be quiet about their peeping! we have those big booming ones in June, then for July 4 it’s the smaller ones the neighborhood peeps set off. Enjoy your Caturday!

I am a believer!!! Dang Newton we even had them in our ‘hood. I sat half way up the stairs Mom said I was planning my escape route should the boomers enter the house.
Thank goodness for peace and quiet today
Hugs Madi your bfff
Oh, Newton, I’m sorry you had all those loud booms. The lady thinks you’re lucky to have such pretty fireworks so close, but I’m on your side. I hope you get peace today, and you all enjoy the holiday weekend.
Purrs,
Annie
How rude of those fireworks, intruding on your territory like that. At least you don’t have to worry about them for a while… Hope you were able to relax and enjoy the 4th!
That looks very scary and far, far too close. There were fireworks in our neighbourhood for Canada Day on the 1st, and they were LOUD. Don’t know why some yahoo had to set them off, when the City has its own fireworks downtown over the water!
Oh Newton those were BIG fireworks. Do you live anywhere near the BIG MOUSE? We heard they put on a huge display. Well we are glad it’s over too.. although we heard lots of boom boom booms throughout our neighborhood. Mine you WE know these are illegal fireworks and we bet they’ll go off again over the weekend. Unless we get rain. That would be nice to put a damper on those stupid boomers.
It was noisy here. Normally I am not too skittish but I think sometimes they invent those things to make horrible noise. I have no idea why humans like them so. My human is not a big fan. She went out and saw one of our neighbors light off one and that was enough for her. Fortunately it was cool enough by then that we could close things up and not suffocate like we would have these last couple of days.
How rude of those fireworks to peep through your windows. And to use the flashy mode at full power too!
We hope your remaining weekend will be peaceful and quiet. 🙂
Yous look so cute. Ow town is settin’ them off tunite and last night wus locals bweakin’ da law. So wees got noise 2 nights in a row. MOL
Luv ya’
Dezi
Those fireworks were very rude to peep in your windows. I hope you have a quiet night tonight.
Peoples sure are rude, aren’t they? (Pee ess: Labor Day is still a couple months away!)
Newton, I think all fireworks should be outlawed- it is too scary for kitties.
Newton, it was really loud here last night with the fire-boomers. We can sort of see them out our window…they shoot them off over the river. And some peeps were shooting off firecrackers. We’re afraid they’ll be shooting them off tonight too.
Newton, we know how you feel. We live REALLY close to the Mrs. Hippy river where the big Minneapolis fireworks are set off every year. …just a little too close for comfort.
Now that it’s over, it’s time to rest up.
: ) Katie
Would you believe the nerve of humans around here? They still been booming stuffs last night too. Dey mite even boom stuffs Sunday nite. Why dey like all that noise fur? Why dey not have a sing along instead? Newton, wanna go hide under the bed with me? -Lil Bear.
The peeps only wish we had fireworks peeping in the windows. Fortuntely, we have good double glass windows on the 4th floor so all the noise is muffled. I had to deal with more noise than firecrackers last week.
We couldn’t see anything and mostly the boomers were not very many and not very loud so we had a peaceful night…thankfully
We hear you Newton. Wonderful pictures of you 🙂
