Most of you have noticed that winter has really arrived. This weekend was a chilly one here, and the cats spent as much of it as they could on heating sources.
Cupcake: I want to press as much of myself as possible against this warm blanket.
This led to spending lots of together time with each other. Newton and Cupcake practiced their synchronized bathing skills.
Newton: Switch sides in 1… 2… 3…
When it was time for Cupcake to go out and see her friends at the coffee shop patio, she brought a heating source, too. In this photo, you can see something oming out of the front of her stroller besides her leash. That’s an electric cord for her heating pad.
We bring an outdoor extension cord in the bottom basket of her stroller to use the electric outlet at the coffee shop patio. If it’s cold enough for Cupcake to want her heating pad, no one is using it for their laptop computer, so it’s available for her use.
That keeps both Cupcake and Catmonkey warm together.
How did you stay warm over the weekend?

good heavens – she isn’t spoiled AT ALL 🙂
This was the best post of the day!! I love it. Thank you Cupcake and Newton.
Cupcake, you’ve got it made in the shade!
You nailed the cozy Cupcake!
My human is not a fan of the cold – if it were cold enough outside for me to need a heating pad, she wouldn’t be out either! We might go for a walk in some hotel corridors or something. We are SUCH indoor adventurers, MOL!
Mom’s heated throw is cozy in this cold weather.

Glad you’re finding ways to stay warm! You probably shouldn’t come up here right now where the “feels like” temp was 25 below this morning!!!
We stay warm with tons of blankets all over the house to snuggle in. But those heated blankets sound great. You all have a good week.
I love watching cats engaging in synchronized bathing.
Snuggle-y Cupcakes! She must be exhausted from all the food wrangling!
Darling photo’s – Looks like everyone is warm, clean and happy!
That’s a great way to keep warm. We’re a little used to the cold, but we don’t like it.
I cuddled lots with mum.
We are ALMOST embarrassed to mention all our warm places. But then we are cats and will.
The heated waterbed, 2 heaty mats, floor vents all over the house, south-facing windows and glass doors to make sunpuddles, TBTs lap, the kitchen floor in front of the oven, and the brick hearth in front of the fireplace (a rare event but wunnerful)…
