Cat Cash Fever

We visited the nearby big box pet supply store over the weekend. They were having an event to promote their cat products, and of course, Cupcake got some of the “cat cash.” She was the only cat attending the event, unless you count the cats in the adoption center, so she thought she should get more cat cash. Enough to buy the cat tree of her dreams.

Unfortunately for her, the “cat cash” was really just a coupon and couldn’t be used to buy her cat tree. You can tell she’s a little bummed about that, but she didn’t let it get her down for long.

While Cupcake was the only cat on hand for the cat event, there were quite a few dogs in the store, as usual. A trainer had some of the dogs doing obedience exercises around the store, and one of them came right up to the cat tree where Cupcake was hanging out.

The dog was too busy looking at his human to pay attention to her, so Cupcake was able to look all she wanted from her safe perch.

Actually, one good things humans can do to train their dogs is to be oblivious to cats. Some of the therapy dogs we work with have been trained like that, and it’s pretty amazing how quickly they can lose interest in me with just a couple of words.

if you were the only cat, you absolutely should have gotten all the cash (and a tree) 🙂

Oh, we love it when pups and kitties interact . . . without knowing they are interacting! Cupcake, you are adorable!

    *you can do it, Cupcake!*

It was good that the dog ignored you so you were able to watch it, Cupcake.

Cupcake, we are sorry to hear that you weren’t able to use the cat cash for a new cat tree of your dreams. At least you were lucky to meet a wonderful little doggy while you were there. You are so cute looking down at him. Hopefully next time that cat tree will be yours. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.

Bummer that it was a cat event and only one cat showed up, huh ? I guess it was okay with Cupcake, but I mean – no one else wanted to cash in ?
