Living in Florida, everything outdoors takes a lot of abuse from the sun and the elements. At our house, that includes the unprotected cable connection on the exposed south side of the house. When it corrodes, our internet connection dies. We’re in the process of getting this repaired now.
The first step of the repair, after the HBO words, is having a repairman come into the house to tell the head peep that she was right when she told the technician on the phone that it was the connection outside the house. The repairman then says that he has to set up another appointment for a different person to fix that.
Newton helped… with a clear path to the closet behind him, in case he needed an escape route.
Ashton: I had important things to do in the closet, so I wasn’t available to help.
Pierre: I had a prior engagement that didn’t include strangers.
Ashton: Don’t let Pierre fool you. He was in the closet, too.
Pierre: *glare*
Things should be back to normal around here in another day or two, and Safety Thursday posts will resume on schedule next week. Thanks for your patience with us not being able to visit as much as we’d like in the meantime, and with the cable guy, who didn’t really like cats.
Newton: Maybe we should have put *him* in the closet!

We hope that everything will be back to normal very soon for you ! Our internet is the slowest available on earth, but at least it works ! Purrs
We hate having innernets problems. We hope your’s get fixed soon.
And Ashton and Pierre…don’t feel bad…we hide too when the repair guy comes.
We hate it if our internet goes down too although we do learn some new words and get educated in c–sing.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Good luck with that! Silly tech people ought to have listened to your human in the first place and not wasted time, having to set up ANOTHER appointment! Or–gasp!–send someone who can deal with *whatever* the issue is.
You guys! Can I get in the closet, too? I love closets! – Crepes.
guys….sorree ewe iz havin a time of it with cable….tell yur mom ta call em N say her wants de serviss cancelled…guar un teez de ree pare dood will be ther pronto….
🙂
Pierre and Newton I do not like repairmen either. OMCs once the peeps were having the a/c serviced. They guy had to come into the peeps bedroom to check the air flow from the vent. Lickety split before I knew it that man put his hand on my head and said nice kitty. Boys let me just say no one, NOPE no one touches my head except with prior approval. Lucky for him I was asleep and he was quick otherwise he would have been sorry.
good luck with your interwebs.
Hugs madi your bfff
Well, at least we’ve been lucky with aliens in the house–they always seem to like us. Hope your problems get fixed soon and don’t entail yet another appointment for something else!
Purring the internet gods are quick!
Umpfh a cable guy who couldn’t fix your innernets AND doesn’t like cats?
Why is it that these cable places won’t listen when the consumer knows what they are talking about?
Hope you get your internet back soon! We know how annoying it is to not have it. What would we ever do if the internet had never been invented?!? Pierre and Newton – we think you should lock the cable guy in the closet!
Sure sounds pretty dumb to send someone who can’t fix it, Good luck!!!
Whoa! Newton looks like he’s about to go postal on the cable guy!
Glogirly would have had even more HBO words when the repair guy said he’d need another repair guy. ; )
Watch out for those cable guys, kitties… we steer clear of them here! Noisy, clunky boots, power drills… they’re no fun at all.
; ) Katie
The closet is the best place to be when strangers invade! Hope all goes smoothly from here on in…
We have no cable excuses. Our mom is just consumed by that monster w.o.r.k. hate that vile creature!
