Ashton: All of us love to sit in the cat window. We take turns doing it in hope that the head peep will notice how dirty the window is and clean it up. Good help is so hard to find.
I rule the cat window at night. That’s when the neighbor cats wander by. And possums, too. And the man in blue shorts never comes to the door to scare me when it’s dark outside. So you’ll never guess what was on the cat TV the other night.
It was past midnight, and very dark, and suddenly there were really big things right outside. This was as bad as the man in blue shorts on the scary scale. Worse, because there were four of them. I had heard stories but had never seen them… vishus deer!
The head peep tried to take a picture of them with her eye-phone, but she muttered something about it looking like one of those bigfoot videos. Whatever that is. I had tried to show her that the dirty window was a problem. That’s what she gets for ignoring my suggestions.
If you click to biggify, you can kind of see the the rear end of one of the vishus deer near the middle of the terrible-quality photo.
Two of them were in our garden, almost within pouncing distance. Another two were busy in the neighbor’s garden. By daylight that we could see what they wanted. They ate all of the leaves off of our two hibiscus bushes, and half of the neighbor’s, too.
This is the neighbor’s hibiscus. It was green and bushy all the way around until the vishus deer molested it. Now there are leaves only on the side near the house. The deer must not have wanted to stand on the sidewalk to finish the job like they did with ours.
So beware, cats and kittens. The vishus deer could be sneaking up outside your window, too, just when you think you are safe from the man in blue shorts!

Dad says we have those very dangerous vischious Deer here too! They used to eat the garden back in the day. Oh My Meows! Sorry about those beautiful plants. Maybe a big hiss will scare them away

A mile away from where we live is a big park and there are hundreds and hundreds of vicious deer who live there but thankfully they haven’t escaped from there … YET!!

Thank goodness those vishus deer were satisfied with the leaves and weren’t looking for “joosy and tender yung cats”!
Angel Abby says
Oh my that was fearsome. WE thought we were looking at alien introoders! Ashton you were very brave and we think you scared them off!!
Marg says
That really is too bad what those deer did to that bush. They really are vishus deers. Better steer clear of them. Have a great day.
Whisppy says
Oh noes. 🙂 We’re sorry, but that is just too funny. We don’t have wandering deers roaming our streets and Mommy so wishes one would. Well, at least it saved your Mom and neighbor from having to prune the hibiscus! Heehee.
Glogirly & Katie says
I hate to tell you, but there’s a man with BROWN shorts too!

Will the terror never end?!?!?!
Katie Isabella says
I will tell you, we has MANY many MANY vishus deer here too. They are always in the yard. Mommy can’t have any plants any more. My human brother has pictures of 8 in his back yard rolling and eating all his plants and laying down and rolling some more.
Maxwell, Faraday & Allie says
HOLY CAT!!! We'[e heard RUMORS that they’ve been spotted near us. In fact our dad said one nearly did a HIT and run while he was out jogging our neighborhood one evening! MOWZERS!
Kitties Blue says
The deer only live about two blocks from here near the river. But they never come to visit. At night, the skunks, possums and raccoons come out looking to see if our humans have forgotten to bring our food in from the catio. We do not like any of them. Tell your mom, that the blob in her photo is what happens when the flash is on and you take a photo through a window. Our grandpa human in California kept trying to find plants that the deer wouldn’t eat. He read in a book that they would not eat oleanders. Unfortunately, as he said, the deer forgot to read the book with that info. MOL Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
Brian says
Well we have one at our window, but his name was Rudolph and man was his nose so bright. But hey, he brought presents!
Sweet Purrfections says
We love your window even if vishus deer show up outside.
Cathy Keisha says
OMC! The vicious deer ate the prettiest plant there is! How dare they? Will the terror never end? First a dirty window and then vandal deer. BTW, wish I had a window ledge like yours.
The Island Cats says
OMC, Ashton! We can’t believe you saw vishus deers. They sneak around our yard at night too and eat the mom’s flowers and plants. We try to scare them away, but it’s hard to do when you’re inside…and besides, they’re vishus!
Savannah NanaMo says
no, no vishus deers here…just very vishus skunks and occasionally a wild turkey!! MOL
